Review of Lay’s Srircha Potato Chip
In the crowdsourcing, fan contest, try-anything current marketplace, a lot of companies are taking to unconventional means to advertise their product and expand their brand. One of these companies is Lay’s, who just recently introduced three “Flavor Finalist” potato chip persuasions, them being Chicken and Waffles, Sriracha, and Cheesy Garlic Bread. Because you don’t want to look like an impulsive glutton (as I did, walking through the store carrying three bags of chips plus a single bottle of grape propel), we’ve created this review for you so you can aptly understand what each of these three salty snacks brings to the table. In this review, we’ll be talking about Lay’s Srircha Potato Chip
Like most people who have, at one point, been poor in their life, I, too, have drowned my food in hot sauce. If you’ve read 6 Ridiculous Foods That College Makes You Eat, you know that Srircha (Cantonese for “red fire paste”) is the ideal choice if you’re looking to add a little kick to whatever you’re eating. That being said, it makes perfect sense that Lay’s would choice to make a Srircha Potato Chip, but, after eating the Chicken and Waffles chips, I had my doubts.
DOUBTS THAT WERE IMMEDIATELY BURNED AWAY.
Not just because it has a very similar flavor to Srircha, but also because it keeps a similar level of heat. For being a pale-skinned round-eye, I do love my food spicy and, although these chips are pushing the limits fo the Scoville Scale, they still were a warm little treat. I’d say that these were the best flavor of the Lay’s Flavor Finalists, and probably he most likely to be continued as a flavor once this whole ordeal is over.
*Pro-tip: even if they aren’t you can still obtain this neat flavor by buying regular Lay’s and dousing them with your own bottle of Srircha
