Review of Lay’s Cheesy Garlic Bread Chips
In the crowdsourcing, fan contest, try-anything current marketplace, a lot of companies are taking to unconventional means to advertise their product and expand their brand. One of these companies is Lay’s, who just recently introduced three “Flavor Finalist” potato chip persuasions, them being Chicken and Waffles, Sriracha, and Cheesy Garlic Bread. Because you don’t want to look like an impulsive glutton (as I did, walking through the store carrying three bags of chips plus a single bottle of grape propel), we’ve created this review for you so you can aptly understand what each of these three salty snacks brings to the table. In this review, we’ll be talking about Lay’s Cheesy Garlic Bread Potato Chip
Firstly, I want to start off by saying that this was the lesser of the three unusual flavors that Lay’s came out with. Srircha was good, Chicken and Waffles was certainly unique, but cheesy garlic bread just tastes like any other gross, greasy cheesy potato chip out there. I feel like the guys at Lay’s were just like “hey, we made two pretty cool flavors, who cares about the third?” then bought a can of pringles and dumped into into an empty bag. It tastes kind of like cheese and kind of like garlic, but not enough to warrant this “special flavor” hype. I was hoping for a really decisive garlic taste, but what I got instead was a blander version of something I’d probably pay 4 dollars for at Dominos.
This potato chip was by far the most underwhelming, and because of that, I give it a measly 1.5 pizzas out of 5.
